Greg Brown has worked over 30 years as a radio television host and a play- by-play announcer with the Pirates. Only Lanny Frattare (33 years) has called more games as a play-by-play announcer than Brown, who has described the action of over 4,000 games in his career behind the mic.

Known for his outgoing personality and passion for the ballclub, the Emmy award winning broadcaster has made the phrase “Raise The Jolly Roger” synonymous with a Pirates victory and “Clear The Deck, Cannonball Coming” his signature home run call. 

McKenry grew up in Knoxville, TN TSSAA Champion . He attend MTSU where he was an All American. A Hall of Fame for both FHS & MTSU. In 2006 he was drafted by the Rockies. During his MiLB journey He was an All Star & Championship multiple times. His dream came true in 2010 when he made his MLB debut. The next 7 years he played for Rockies, Pirates & Cardinals in the MLB. In 2017 he left the game as a National Champion.

He was DPD at MTSU,  a MLB Analyst, Broadcaster, & studio analysis. Named to the USA roster in 2009 for the World Cup. He has now coached with USA Baseball for 5 years different capacities. A Rockies Special Instructor & Bench Coach for the Spring Breakout game, Coached the Flyboys in the Appy league. Has Coached, advised & Mentored at every level of the game since retiring.
